William Glackens

Though known as a member of The Eight and an artist whose early work is typical of the Ashcan School subject and style, William Glackens’ place is also firmly established in American Impressionism.  His brilliantly colored figurative scenes, bright still lifes and lush landscapes have gained public and critical acclaim.  This exhibition of over 30 artworks was the third in a series of artists of The Eight and represented Owen Gallery’s commitment to presenting this group to the American public.
