William Sergeant Kendall

1998

This exhibition explored the nearly forgotten and neglected artist Sergeant Kendall, who in his day won the Shaw Prize, the Harris Prize, the Isidor Medal, the Gold Medal at the Panama-Pacific Exposition, and the Potter Palmer Gold Medal. In Sergeant Kendall’s world of one hundred years ago, he had obtained the pinnacle of success.
